CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES are among the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide, despite technological advances, surgery, and cardiovascular pharmacology. While still in its infancy, hope is on the horizon through regenerative medicine and stem cells.
Preclinical and clinical studies have shown that stem cells can help to preserve cardiac muscle contractility, stimulate new vessel formation, and control inflammation and fibrosis. In other words, stem cells hold great promise for treating cardiovascular diseases.

Regenerative medicine is a rapidly growing field using stem cells to repair or replace damaged tissue and organs. The hope is that this approach will someday resolve currently considered incurable diseases.

Stem cells can divide and give rise to new cells. Through their targeted application, they can differentiate into beneficial, regenerative cells where needed, making them ideal for use in regenerative medicine.
